UPDATE: Vanek looks ginger on the ankle. He's doing a lot of turning, leaning and pushing on it to test it. It's an optional with about a dozen players on the ice. He shook his head at one point after taking a shot. Realistically, this is a first test. I would still rate it unlikely he plays tonight but Friday may be realistic. And if there's a Game Six, remember the extra day off. It's not until Monday. That could certainly be in play.
