Yonkers Internationa Trot - VM loppet ikväll

Det erbjuds V4 spel till kvällens VM-lopp på Yonkers.

Tips från banan :

V4:1

RACE 7 - Yonkers International Trot - 1 1/4 miles - Purse $1,000,000
1 - SLIDE SO EASY has some familiarity with the track (8th here in last year's race, though only 5 lengths back), and now has the rail with a "care free" pilot - does seem a bit cheaper than the main players, though
2 - BAHIA QUESNOT is just 1 for 16 this year...but that's because she's been facing the best in Europe, while coming up 2nd best 6X - looking at a tricky trip from Post 2, but definitely one to use on your tickets
3 - ATLANTA needs no introduction to U.S. fans, as she was last year's Hambletonian winner (and Trotter of the Year) - has continued to thrive this year as a 4YO (for her new trainer), (11-7-3-0, $658K) but will be asked her to tackle tough, seasoned foes while facing an uncertain trip - make sure to get a fair price
4 - UZA JOSSELYN has earned about half of her $1.4M the past 2 years, facing some of Europe's best while grabbing 8 victories - has her favorite pilot on board and while she has fine gate speed, she's also shown that she can race from behind, if necessary - one of 3 mares in here...all with a legit chance to win
5 - ZACON GIO has never ventured out his native Italy and has (for the most part) faced much lesser competition through his career - on the plus side, he's currently riding an 11 race win streak, and has plenty of half mile track experience....any horse that loves to win as much as he does is always worthy of respect!
6 - MARION MARAUDER would seem like an outsider with his 8-0-2-1 record this year but the mega-classy 6YO didn't earn his $3.2M by accident! He'll be forced to sit back and hope to make one big rally today but IF somehow things get wild up front, it's not inconceivable that he could make some late noise
7 - CRUZADO DELA NOCHE was last year's winner, surging late to win the exciting battle - current form doesn't suggest that he' ready to do it again, but he seemed "iffy" coming into last year's edition as well - couldn't blame anybody looking to play him...as long as the price is pretty juicy from this spot
8 - LIONEL gave it his all last year and ALMOST pulled off the win - has had a few good moments in '19 but he's earned just $34K and draws horribly this year....prefer others
9 - GUARDIAN ANGEL AS (always a "Yonkers lover") has really blossomed as a 5YO, already winning several big races this year, while bankrolling $664K - he's a bit at the mercy of racing luck as he starts behind #1, but drivers like Tetrick have a knack for somehow finding a trip in big races....major threat!
10 - NORTON COMMANDER seems a bit overmatched while also drawing Post 10 - very tough spot

V4:2

RACE 8 - Harry Harvey Invitational Trot - 1 1/4 miles - Purse $250,000
1 - EYE OF A TIGER AS basically missed all of 2018 but has enjoyed a terrific comeback year, earning nearly $250K (most of it right here at The Hilltop, on the strength of 14 1sts and 2nds) - rail draw can be a blessing OR a curse, as he might be under the gun from the start - playable, but demand a decent price
2 - MISSION ACCEPTED has been a good "second stringer" for his barn, already bankrolling $275K while just missing in a couple of big races - did make breaks on a half mile fair track recently, so that has to be a bit of a concern as he'll have to negotiate 5 turns today....just don't take too short a price
3 - ICANFLYLIKENANGEL improved by 15 lengths after the recent barn change, but his 2 wins were on the lead, vs. much easier competition - would never be shocked by anything this top barn accomplishes, but it would be at least a pretty big surprise to see this guy just step up and beat THIS field!
4 - WILL TAKE CHARGE has been somewhat in and out all year, but comes into this off a sharp 2nd and has been 1st/2nd in 9 of his 16 local tries this year - worth including in the exotics, for sure
5 - CUSTOM CANTAB can be forgiven for finally weakening last week in the Dayton Derby after being parked to 3/4s in 1:22! Game first over try at Delaware (3rd) the start before, and the classy mare is closing in on $1M in earnings....may very well get there after today!
6 - SPEEDING SPUR N was a very high end Down Under trotter who looked good initially in his first U.S. starts, but just has the feel that he may be tailing a bit right now - not a great post to deal with today, either
7 - RICH AND MISERABLE has just been improving all year long and has blossomed into a very legit Open trotter - was helped in last week's "prep" by that slow half, but he still overcame Post 8 (and a tough WILL TAKE CHARGE) to score in 1:53.4 - he's 6-4-1-1 at Yonkers, and absolutely worth using today
8 - EMOTICON HANOVER has gone some big trips in an otherwise "mixed" 2019 season - on her best effort, she could do some damage here....but the rough draw will make things pretty tough this afternoon
9 - I KNOW MY CHIP might have been worth a good luck in an "ordinary" weekly Open, but the veteran lands in a very good field upon arrival and just seems a bit below the main players - tough post, as well
10 - WESLYNN DANCER is a quirky mare that likes things "her way", even when on her best game - back row starts (and plenty of traffic) probably won't be to her liking
