Lierse are a disaster this season, the worst defence in the league and not even Sonck has managed to get their goalscoring to a respectable level. 15 goals in 20 matches is not something that scares.
Today lierse misses Frans, De Graef, Mensah, Vandooren, Kujovic (ziek), Notari and Van Dooren.
Frans, De Graef and Van Dooren are all starters in the defensie line and Notari was brought in from Mantova this season to organize the defence but has just made 3 appearences so far. Mensah was if I remember correctly captain until he got injured in October.
This game has forced Lierse to reorganize and bring in some yout/reserve players to bench for them.
Westerloo is a capable team, they draw a lot but once now and then bag a result away against kortrijk or home agiant anderlecht. I think they should be able to fix 3 points from a poor home side. And if not I still take full draw cover.
Regarding the goal line, Lierse defence is a mess when they have their starters. Today they wont and I cant see it getting any better. A capable offence on home field, avergaing 1 goal per game and allowing almost 2 against a team more than capable of both scorring and conceding.
Sure, Westerlo is a under team most often. But against the worst defence they should be able to bag a couple.
